  Canon XH-A1s Record in HD but send signal in SD

  Hello,

  I am taping a live event using Ustream and a Canon XH-A1s. I ideally would send an SD signal through firewire to a laptop, but record HD for editing after the event. I do this with a Panasonic AVC-CAM, but this Canon camera does not seem capable. Anyone familiar with this model able to confirm? I’ve read through the manual but just want to double check that I am not missing something before looking for another option. Thanks!
