    Hi Everyone,

I consider myself quite proficient with the EX1/3 cameras and tapeless system but we just received two Canon XF305’s at my work and I’ve encountered an issue with one of them.

So when I put a CF card in slot A it tells me to initialise which is to be expected coming from a Z7P. However it keeps failing each time I try. If I put the card in slot B it initialises fine and from there on works perfectly. I have tried several different cards and brands. The pins are all straight, I’m hoping its not a hardware issues since its brand new. Only been tested once.

Any suggestions on what to try? As I said if it was an Ex1 I would have a better idea what to do but I’m not familiar with canons at all.

    Thanks everyone!

I am experiencing a similar problem as Stephen Rangott.

When I put my card in Slot A, it tells me CF A error but the same card works absolutely fine in Slot B.

Does anyone know what I should do to fix this?

    Thanks.

    Hey Khalifa,

Well I figured it out. Upon closer inspection one of the pins is bent very slightly. Even with 2 other people looking we all missed it the first time. I had a lot of trouble spotting it but it was definitely a bent pin problem. its working now.

I feel quite sheepish but at least its working.

    Cheers,

    Steve
