  I have all these Canon .mts video files on my computer, now what?

  I have all these .mts files on my computer and I have two different video editing softwares that I can use, Adobe Premier and Pinnacle. The problem is when I use the .mts files, it looks like crap.

  I seem to remember a Canon software that came with my camcorder that enabled me to convert the files into a format that was more widely accepted. I do this so rarely that I can’t remember how to do it (I know I have done it before).

  Any of your expert advice would be greatly appreciated.
