  Change HDV/DV in to out

  I am trying to capture footage from the Canon XLH1 to my PC, using Premiere Pro CS4. I have turned on playback and plugged the cable in correctly, but the screen reads HDV/DV in and I am unable to capture.

  I have looked at the instruction manual and it says to change [PLAYBACK STD] and [HD DOWN-CONV] but both settings are greyed out and I cannot change them!

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  you have to make the changes with the firewire cable unplugged, then ikt won’t be greyed out
