  7D battery compatibility

  Hey guys, I’m planning to get extra batteries for a 7D. I was wondering, other than LP-E6, is there any other battery that 7D can run on?

  Also, is there any way for me to manually lock the shutter speed, so even when I accidently turn the knob, it doesn’t change a thing.

  its not worth buying off brand, because they end up not lasting as long or dont communicate with the camera. So you will not see the time remaining, amount of shutter clicks, etc.

  B and H sells the Canon LP-E6 Batteries for 59$ and ships anywhere in the US tax free.

  I have tried to use off brand and never had good results.
