  white line at top of letterbox playback of video

  I recently purchased a Canon Vixia HF20 camcorder. So far so good. I notice a thin white or lightened line of the image I am viewing in letterbox playback on a standard television. Is this a normal transition into the black bar that creates the “letterbox look”?
