  Canon VIXIA HF S100 won’t power on/off correctly

  I just recently received a Canon VIXIA HF S100, and thus far it’s been working great. However, now it won’t power on/off correctly.

  Basically, I went to connect my camera to my MacBook Pro like I’d done previously. It was running on battery power, though, so after I powered on the camera, it prompted me to attach the compact power adapter. I did so, and then the LCD screen shut off.

  Confused, I tried pressing the power button, and nothing happened. The “on/off” light was still shining steady green, which I assume means the camera is still “on” somehow. Yet, no buttons work, nothing.

  Canon told me to reset the camera to default settings by powering down the camera, hitting the reset button in the battery well, and then powering it back up. I did so (note: the only way I could power it down was to disconnect the power adapter).

  Nothing I do seems to help, and I would really appreciate any advice on what to do. Thanks in advance!

  I have the same problem.. How did u solve it??
