    Hi,

New to the forum. Just searched the forum archives and did not find an answer.

I just bought a Canon Vixia HFS100 camcorder.

It writes .mst files which Sony Vegas reads and edits.

When I finish my edits (along with some additional material) I would like to put a .mst file back on the camcorder so that I can take it to my folks house to play the “movie”.

I called Canon & they said call Sony Vegas support.

Nobody seems to have an answer.

Has anybody got this worked out?

    Thanks,

    Walker

I don’t believe it is possible to put an edited video back on the HFS100. It has to be in the original format under private. What you can do is make a DVD of your edit in either HD or SD format. If your parents do not have an HDTV use the SD format. Pinnacle studio v.14 has the capability to create an SD movie from the MTS stream.
