Me and my girlfriend have just started a videography business. We have bought a Canon Xl1-s and i am so happy with this choice. We could do with a backup cam and we were looking at the Canon XM2. Problem is its Ntsc and were Pal as were based in the UK. Before i go and do something i regret i would like to know if there would be any issues with FCPS/Adobe Premiere CS3 with using both Pal and NTSC footage.

    Thanks In advance, Dan

Its going to be a pain in the ass… to work with either you’ll have to convert Pal to NTSC or NTSC to Pal to put the same type of footage in the same timeline. You shouldn’t do it. stick to Pal all the way if you’ll work in UK.
