  flicker and wavy lines in video Canon hf20

  Hi
  i have got the above mentioned camcorder. a good part of my video has got some kind of wavy lines and flicker in it. flicker is often in building windows, horizontal lines, or when its trying to get a detail of something in the back ground. I have played around with the shutter speed and other controls but i just cant quite seem to get rid of this. read the manual too. i am bummed out since th e video has got this. any suggestions?
  i have been using this with iMovie 09. i am wondering if there is also any way to remove the flicker with some sort of additional software or other way?
