  • Compression of an LtRt sound to Dolby Surround in Compressor (FCP Export)

    Hi,

    I have a simple question:

Should I export my LtRt sound from Final Cut Pro as a Stereo Track or as two separate Mono Tracks to get the best of my Dolby Surround encode?

I’ve tried both and I noticed a difference, but I can’t really figure out myself wich one is the best. The two mono tracks sounded a little quieter played through the amplifier.

*Note that in compressor, for the two mono tracks version of my test, I used the “Add Surround Sound”, then placed Lt in the L field and Rt in the R field and then used the same setting as my “stereo” version.

    Thanks
