Subtitles with graphics in DVD Studio Pro not being displayed
So… I’m making a DVD and would like to include subtitles, preferably ones that don’t look as bad as the ones DVDSP can generate with standard .stl files.
I have beautiful PNG graphics from my subtitle guy, but I cannot figure out how to get the image files to work with my subtitle stream – I really think I’ve tried everything, including reading the manual which just tells me to attach the graphic in the inspector. But when I do that, nothing appears in the viewer. There must be something really simple I’m not seeing, but I am going mental right now!
I’ve used an .stl to create subs that are positioned correctly in the stream, i would just like to attach graphics to the subs in the stream and actually be able to see them! there are about 100 subs, but I’m perfectly willing to attach them manually to the graphics files, if it would just work!
The closest I’ve gotten is being able to see some B/W grahics from a watermarked PICT-converter, since one guy stated that ONLY pict-files would work – but I can’t get the pict files to display the text either…
So basically – could someone please please give me a walkthrough of what to do? What files are supported? Tiffs won’t show either….
I have: a set of PNG’s, an edl, an .srt, an .slt (both .srt and .stl are plain text no graphics information). And I’m willing to make whatever else is needed if it will work!
I really hope someone can help me…
