Hwo can I burn a PAL DVD in Toast that works in Europe?
Greetings. I have some PAL footage I’ve authored in DVDSPro and will burn in Toast. Should I use DVD-ROM (UDF) or DVD-VIDEO from Video_TS? Which one will be able to play in Europe? I tried using the DVD-VIDEO option but got the CSS (encryption) message. Ideas?

Why not burn in DVDSP- that’s what it’s for… And yes pretty much any DVD will play on a Pal DVD player as long as the regions are left open.

Hi Noah, I hear a while back that discs burned in DVDSP are less compatible than those burned in Toast. Have you had this experience?

Nope- not at all. It’s the media itself and the burn speed that determine playability. Burned in DVDSP or Toast doesn’t make any difference.

OK. I’ll encode at 7.5 and burn at x2 on Memorex DVD-R in DVDSP.
