  DVD Studio Pro / how to retain .mov quality *without using Compressor*

  Greetings,

  I’m at a loss here. I’ve exported a 3-minute quicktime movie from Final Cut pro. It’s roughly 2.5 GB in size. When I try to encode it in Compressor (high quality / 7 MB ps) the application takes 30 hours to get to 74 % of the export and then fails. Using QMaster to add to the speed doesn’t change this.

  When I import the Quicktime movie, which looks good enough for me, into DVD Studio Pro and burn the DVD, DVD Studio Pro seems to screw up the quality of the video. I’ve tried to find a way to adjust this, but have found none.

  Does anyone have some tips for me on how to retain the quality of the .mov file? It’s the only file on the DVD so space is not a problem. It’s supposed to be fixed as quickly as possible.
