  How to make a text corresponds with the background?

  Hi, I have a water footage and a text layer. I want to make the text to correspond with the motion of the water,like the water waves. I remember there was a tutorial I ran across that explains how to do this (I think it was by Andrew Kramer) but I couldn’t find it. I’d appreciate your input on that. Thank you!

  use the water layer as a displacement map for the text layer.
