  • OSX Ripping DVD: VOB to MOV in Pro Res?

    Hello,
I’d like to rip some old DVDs and convert the content in a .MOV: I’d like to obtain a muxed clip with Apple ProRes 422 as video codec and PCM 48Khz as audio codec: this because I want to import the clip in a timeline using FCP or Media 100 and I always work with Apple ProRes encoded clips.
I looked for a ripper on Google but I found something interesting only for Windows platforms: on the other side, I found something for OSX but there’s no way to choose a final video codec different from H.264 of MPG4.
I tried to import the .VOB files in Compressor, but it doesn’t work… someone has an idea about the tools to use and a good workflow for this convertion?
    Regards,
    Alessio

Cinematize will do this, it is not free but does a great job. But it does not work with copy protected DVDs.

    Wow, thank you!
I tried both the software: MPEG Streamclip is free and it works great.
    Best regards,
    Alessio
