after effects rendering
hi all,
I shot a wedding video acouple of days ago and edited in premiere pro cs3.
it took about half an hour to render out this 2 hour project. in after effects i made a cool intro (motion graphics) and outro to make it a little bit more fun to watch and i added an adjustment layer on top of the main video with a plugin called neat video (to reduce some noise) aplied to it but when i render it out of after effects it takes about 18 hours for this 2 hour comp. why does after effects render so freakin long. oh yeah i renderd out uncompressed when i was done in premiere and in after effects i used the quicktime animation. -

Noise reduction is one of the most computationally-expensive (translation: slow to render) effects that you can apply.
NeatVideo in particular does a really nice job, but it takes a very long time to process, regardless of which host application (After Effects, Final Cut, Premiere, etc.) you’re using.
