I started with an mp3 imported into after effects, then through dvd studio pro to make the dvd.

the sound on my dvd is “crackly” sounding, with a pop every couple of seconds.

i’m sure i just have to import it into after effects as a different file type instead of mp3.

which file should i import into after effects?

    thanks!!!!

I would suggest PCM (AIFF) audio, 48KHz, 16 bit. Also keep the maximum level below -6dB.
