When creating quicktime movies that will be used on a DVD what type of compressor should I specify?

These are a few of them that are listed:

    Animation
    Cinepak
    DV-PAL
    DV/DVCPRO-NTSC
    DVCPRO-PAL
    Mpeg-4
    Sorenson 3 video
    and about 10 more…

Also what is the best format?

    the options are:

    16 bit color
    24 bit color
    32 bit color
    etc.

    Thanks!!!!

none of those will work. You need the one that says mpeg2.

if you have 6.5 on the pc yes, I think you can.

I don’t think the mac version supports mpeg2 output yet.

You could export it as an ANIMATION file then compress
that with an mpeg encoder software.

Thats How I do all of my dvd menu’s.

If you have apple compressor, it should have an mpeg2
    output module.
