  SSD external recorder 8bit vs 10 with canon xa25 SDI

  Hello.

  I found this on B&H photo. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/841023-REG/Blackmagic_Design_HYPERD_PT2_HyperDeck_Shuttle_2_SSD.html

  It says it records 10bit via SDI. My canon camera xa25 has an SDI output although the specs for the camera listed here https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1198035-REG/canon_1003c002_xa35_professional_hd_camcorder.html list that the SDI output is HD/SD-SDI (4:2:2 color sampling) Does that mean this camera will output 10bit to the external recorder if I bought it? The camera itself records to SDXC cards at 8bit not 10.
