Tips on reflectors and bounced light for indoors filmmaking?
I want to shoot a short film inside an apartment with drapes open (not shooting against the windows). Since the budget is nearly zero, I was thinking about bouncing day light instead of using cheap or cheesy lights. I had in mind some wall size foam boards. I do have one 3-in-1 20″ photography reflector maybe for closeups.
Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, guys 🙂

Most will rent or buy 4×4 Cinema grade reflectors on stands, then bounce light in thru the windows. These rigs keep the bounce stable in light breezes. These also come in Mirror, which work great with diffusion frames to spread the beam of light. 4×4 reflectors are going to be one of the cheapest rentals a lighting house has.

If you’re making the foam board reflectors yourself, by adding foil to them, pre-crinkle the foil into a tight ball and then carefully flatten it out, retaining the tiny creases. This texture will soften the overall reflection.
