I am currently filming with a Canon 60D and I use an Edelkrone motion controlled slider & crane for a lot of my shots. Only issue I’m having is, it seem like the slider shots have a bit of a jittery look. It also looks much worse on youtube, Not sure if its just youtube compression doing that or what the deal is. Does anyone know how to fix this issue on a DSLR?

I also work on large scale production sets as a PA & grip and I spoke with an experienced DP who said Canon DSLRs aren’t really made for motion shots which could be part of the problem. Does anyone recommend any good cameras that would be good for motion shots? I’m looking for something in the $1,000-$3,000 range.

Was thinking about the Black Magic Pocket but not sure how that is with motion shots.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

Are you shooting time lapse or normal speeds?
