Student cameras with full manual controls shooting video
For Cine students at the Academy, I’m trying to find digital cameras that shoot video in full manual control of iris, shutter speed, and white balance and that cost under $500. So far my best bet costs more, the Canon T5 for $549. Any suggestions? Note that the specs on all these cheaper cameras specify if they have manual controls for stills, but rarely mention that for video. I have spent several hours on the internet researching this topic with thin results. If you have a camera to suggest, please make sure it does have full manual controls in video mode. I’d prefer “real” video cameras instead of hybrid stills-video, but I can find nothing in this style that has manual controls for under a grand. Maybe there’s something I missed that one of you knows about.
