  Blackening out bloomed windows in AE?

  Hey everyone,

  I have a long dolly / panning shot that’s supposed to take place at night, but a window with a slighter of light is giving away my shot. I’d love to be able to darken the windows.

  If it were a static shot I’d just draw a mask and lower the brightness / contrast until it was black, but because it’s moving the windows change position. I tried rotoscoping the mask but there’s just too much movement, it doesn’t look natural.

  Suggestions?

  You might be able to use Mocha, a planar tracker included with AE CS4, instead of roto by hand.
