    Hi,
Is there a way to capture my rendered Quicktimes to tape from AE? The thing is I’ve made 3 small idents that I now want to get onto my Avid timeline. I’ve tried just importing them into avid but the colours of the clips change for some reason, so instead I found a long way round: Import the clips into Premiere, export the timeline in premiere with the clips on to tape and then capture back into avid. The thing is now that with these clips the origional video file in the composition isn’t smooth when I make movie, you can see at various points in the clip sharp horizontal fratuces in the clip whilst it pans.

If anyone can suggest the best wy to export the clips so they will be clean (I’ve added frame blending) when I import them into premiere I would be very greatful. I have already tried the Sorrenson 3, DV-PAL, & MPEG-4 compression settings and also none. I hope someone can help.
    Many thanks,
    Martin Banks.

I’d say that during your 3 step process (AE->Ppro->AVID) you have mixed up the field order. Make sure it stays the same the whole way through. So if the vision is interlaced lower field in AE make sure you render out of AE lower field first. Then out of Ppro as lower field first. Then interpret it as lower field first in your NLE.
