  HMI lighting & 3200k to 5600 K transforming

  Hello:

  First question,
  While searching for outdoor lighting I found that HMI is probably the best choice out their. Does anyone have experience with lighting with HMI? Any recommendations on a brand.

  2nd question:
  I have 2 lights & soft boxes, they are 3200k, is there a way to transform the temperature to 5600 with gels?

  Roscolux #3204 “full blue” will boost the color temperature from tungsten at 3200 degrees Kelvin, to daylight at 5500 degrees kelvin.

  I always recommend ARRI HMI lights, although several other wonderful vendors manufacture their own HMI line. Many people swear by a company aptly named 5600K.
