    Hey,

I’ve made a title sequence that I’m going to put onto live footage in FCP, so I exported out the sequence in alpha.

Problem is, when I export it out, the lens flare in my sequence is kind of screwed up and my text lost their colours.

Any ideas how to fix it?

    Additional info:
Lens flare layers in Add transfer mode.
Used colorize from Hue/Sat for the colors on text/lens flare
    Used animation compressor

    Thanks in advance!

Here’s a great tutorial that will not only help you composite a lens flare, but give you some pointers on compositing in general:

When you export with an alpha, make sure you set the alpha channel type correctly in FCP. Ctrl-click the clip in FCP and choose ‘Item Properties’ Set the alpha channel type to whatever is appropriate for your clip.

I would recommend exporting anything out of AE with a “straight alpha” since some other NLE, such as Avid, don’t easily support premultiplied alpha channels.
