mixer groups – what are they for?
I’ve been searching online for a tutorial or an article about the mixer groups with no luck, so thought I’d ask the question here
I was poking around in the mixer tool and came across the tracks and groups panel on the left side for the first time (no idea how long that’s been there) but I just can’t work out what it’s useful for? I immediately assumed it would be a way to group tracks together to quickly mute/solo or adjust levels of certain track groups (these would all be very useful) but after taking the time to set up the groups I wanted (all, sync,fx,music,vo) all it seems to let me do is select those tracks (no different to selecting them in the timeline with a shift+click+drag which is probably quicker).
Can anyone shed any light on what mixer groups are good for?
cheers,
joe
