  I was curious if my install of Media Composer 6.5 would be affected if I upgraded to the monthly Media Composer membership. Basically can I still run version 6.5 with the new Media Composer installed?

  You can’t have two versions of Avid on the same boot drive. If you want to use the latest, then it’s recommended to install a second hard drive, or partition your current one, install a separate OS on it, and then the new version.

  Besides, the OS you’d be required to run for MC 2018.x won’t be compatible with MC 6.5, and the one you need for 6.5 won’t run the latest MC.
