  can a mid-2011 imac i7 w/16GB ram run MC2018?

  hi all. i have a mid 2011 iMac with 16GB ram, a 2.8GHz i7, and graphics card is the AMD Radeon HD 6770. it’s still running an old MacOS too, 10.7.5. i am running an old version of Media Composer, version 5, and it works fine.

  my question is, if i upgrade the OS to El Capitain, will this machine run current versions of Media Composer from 2018?

  Yes. WE have older Mac Pro towers running the current version.

  good to know, thanks! i have a new side project coming up for the first time in a while and want to update before getting started, but don’t want to encounter any pitfalls as i proceed. doing the OS upgrade and then the media composer uprade is giving me the upgrade heebie jeebies. hope everything works! ????

  great chart, thanks much! ???? i wish they had a chart that covered OS, RAM, Graphics Cards, and Processor requirements/minimums all in one place. i’m wondering how my AMD Radeon 6770M 512 card will handle it…
