Hi, I have received an .ass file —
Mandarin subtitles for a film. What do I need to do in order to be able to import this file into Avid Media Composer? Thanks in advance.

    Short answer:
    You can’t.
    Longer answer:
Avid only supports subtitles trough the SubCap plugin.
For that you need a Subcap .txt file in UTF-16 (To support Chinese)
But then, if your subs have position / color / font information, that will be lost.

Since I’m a sub freak, mail me your .ass file and I’ll see what I can do.
