  Checking if my machine will run Avid Media Composer

  Hello!

  I’ll be working on a project in AVID on my own machine for the first time and wanted to confirm that my machine will run AVID smoothly. We’ll be working entirely in DNxHD36 for the offline–

  My tech specs:

  Model: iMac (21.5″ inch / Late 2013
  Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor with turbo boost to 3.2GHz
  Memory: 16GB RAM DDR3
  Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 5200

  Won’t be transcoding – primarily assembling dailies sequences and exporting from DNxHD36.

  Yes, it’ll do fine. Just make sure the OS version you are running is compatible with the version of Avid you’ll be running.
