The Panasonic P2 cameras could record 720p 23.98…23.98 actual frames per second. But the media would be ID’d as “DVCPRO HD 720p60.” Because that’s the format…the standard for 720p is 720p60…but the FRAME RATE would be something else.
Like 1080…. a lot of metadata will refer to it as 1080i60, even though it plays at 23.98…because in that case, pull down might havr been removed. But the standard at the time for 1080 was 1080i60…like the standard for 720p is 720p60. THat was just the format…then after that, you’d get the frame rate.
Just odd metadata shenanigans.
