  • Copying a rendered AudioSuite effect to more audio tracks

I want to copy an audio suite plugin effect (pitch shift) from an old cut (almost a year) to a new cut. The effect is rendered in the old cut and plays, but my system doesn’t recognize the effect (calls it unavailable). I can’t go in to audio suite to edit it or at least look at its parameters, it gets completely reset when I open it up. Copying the render effect into a bin doesn’t work either, as it loses its parameters then too.

I’m not quite sure what I’m missing (do I need to have the original drive the effect was rendered to?). The pink box that indicates it as an effect is empty.

    Thanks!

Avid changed the plug in standard to 64bit AAX in recent versions. Older plugins are incompatible.

Is it possible your old cut was done on an older version of Media Composer.
