  Avid MC 8.5.0 timeline

  I have a 24 fps SD footage. While linking in AVID MC 24P project it is showing the video as DV 25 420i(PAL). And in the timeline it it’s showing green dot. Why is it it so?

  PAL is 25fps. NTSC DV doesn’t really do 24p…it’s 29.97. Although Panasonic had a couple DV cameras that recorded 24p in a 29.97 stream, and allowed the frames to be pulled out when capturing.

  But if your video is DV PAL…it’s 25fps. What does the frame rate say?
