  30i proj and 480 tape transfer automatically changes images size to 1440×1080 – how do I fix this?

  Hello –

  Avid MC question.

  I’m digitizing a tape that is 480 in a 30i proj in avid. The raster image is correct (720x486i) after transfer but the image size is automatically blow up to 1440×1080 even though i’m working in a 480 project.

  I’ve tried to Frame Flex the dimensions so the footage after digitizing is 720×480 but of course since the images size is x2 that the image shrinks.

  I’m not understanding why, even though i’m digitizing 480 tape in a 480 proj the image is getting blow up 2x its size.

  How do I fix this so the raster dimensions and the images size are both 720×480 but the picture isn’t shrunk.
