  Audio lag/ Blackmagic

  Hey everyone,

  I’ve just started assisting in a new suite and there’s an issue with the audio playback in Media Composer 8.5.1. Whenever I hit pause when playing back a clip, the audio kind of echoes the last frame or so, it just loops around it and won’t stop until I hit play again. It only stops if I reach the end of the clip.
  The system is connected to a mixer + speakers via Blackmagic Decklink.
  Any ideas what might be going on?

  Never had that issue. Uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Make sure you have the latest ones.

  Is there a tape machine connected to the mixer? Sounds like audio is feeding back through it. Turn it off or put its faders down.

  You can test to see if it’s the Decklink by switching off external hardware…click the gear at the top right of the timeline. Then monitor audio via the computer output instead of the Decklink. If it sounds fine via the computer then it’s the Decklink or something the Decklink is connected to
