  Can’t AMA-play Panasonic P2 clips on Avid MC 8.3

  Hi there,
  I have successfully installed MC 8.3 on my Macbook Pro 15′ Dual core i7 2.3 mhz, 16 gb ram laptop running 10.8 Mountain Lion.

  After upgrading almost all plugins (including switching to the latest Panasonic P2 4.3 version), when I try to AMA link any Panasonic P2 cards (pointing to the level before CONTENTS) the AMA clips appear into the bin.

  But when I double click them to open them in the player window I get the following error: EXCEPTION: CM_AEFFECT_NOT_FOUND

  The thumbnails are there but the video looks either black or striped and kind of damaged.
  Could the exception be due to my processor (a dual core as opposed as an Avid supported quad-core?)Or to the fact that I am still running Mountain Lion?Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Looks like 10.8.5 is the OS needed according to the Knowledge base article:
