Avid settings after installation for optimization
I am coming from Adobe Premiere where there were numerous methods of optimizing the program before using it. Does Avid have such a thing? Is there a reference that I can consult on how to set up the program most efficiently before i get started.

There really is no such thing as optimizing Avid. Just choose a project setting that matches the footage you are using, and the delivery you want to make…and go with that. Unlike Premiere and FCP, Avid is project based. The format footage is imported and output is dependent on the project settings.
