  Avid MC 8.1 on osx 10.7 Lion

  Hi,

  (Fairly new to Avid from FCP 7)

  I have avid mc 7.0.3 and recently purchased the perpetual license and now have Avid mc 8.1 however it won’t open on my 17′ mbp with 16 gb of ram and osx 10.7 Lion.

  I’ve uninstalled, via Avid uninstall ,twice and the application manager verified me as did customer service so I don’t know what is going on.

  Each time I try to open it I have the option to reopen, ignore, or send to Apple.

  If anyone knows what I can do Please let me know.

  You need OSX 10.8.5 or 10.9.4. Lion won’t work. You can download older versions of Avid software with your license, I believe (they show up in my account, anyway), if you cannot upgrade your OS for some reason.
