  3 TB LaCie P9230 Media drive only has 487.6 MB displayed

  I have just bought a 3 TB LaCie P9230 drive to back up my media files on.
  The problem is it only say’s it has a capacity of 487.6 MB.

  I have tried everything in disk utility to solve this but nothing has worked.

  Has anyone here come across this?

  Are you seeing only one partition and the bigger one is not mounting?

  I had this as well. As Michael said, it comes with two partitions.
  Im on Windows, and just went into my disk management and deleted the old partition, and created a new simple volume for the drive, and it was all there.

  I assumed the software the drive comes with would have done the same thing, but had already cleaned all that junk out before I noticed the partition issue.

  Thanks very much for your post’s guys.
  I was actually being a bit slow, I was trying to format it from disk utility and not the LaCie software! I have since used this and it works just fine.
