  Media Composer 3.1 Editing P2 720 30N and HDV 1440 X 1080

  I wiil be editing P2 720 30N and HDV 1440 X 1080 in Media Composer 3.1. I will be using multicam mode. Can these 2 formats be edited together in Media Composer 3.1 in the same sequence?

  To group any footage, the codec, frame rate and frame size all need to match. So you need to transcode the media to a common frame size and format….say all DNxHD 115 1920×1080 29.97. Then Avid will allow you to group the clips.

  Test with smaller clips to ensure you get the settings right.
