I’ve just returned from shooting with a C300 and have the files all downloaded and backed up.

I have downloaded and imported the AMA for MFX and the recommended
AMA plug-in for the Canon C300 to my computer. Now when trying to import the files into my MC6 (1080i 50fps)project I open up the Link to AMA Volume and it recognizes the file, but it won’t allow me to open up more than one file ( I have to double click down into the file containing the actual shot and data”… CONTENT, then the CLIPS001 file down to each individual take (i.e. AA0091; AA0092 etc.).

With other footage shot on the C100 in AVCHD, I was able to easily open the footage to begin working with it. From the AVCHD file MC 6 easily opened and played the clips.

No doubt I must be missing a step or a plug-in or a command to get this same ease of access. I CAN go and open each individual file, find the MXF clip and link it… but this will take a VERY long time. Must be a quicker way.

    Any suggestions?

Download and install all the AMA plugins. I found when I only installed the one for C300 it did this. But all of them, and it worked.

    Thank you Shane.

I will give it a try… as they say “it couldn’t hurt”.

    Shane:

Just spent a few minutes downloading most/all the AMAs (except Arri… which required a registered user), and as usual your suggestion worked perfectly.

I appreciate the help. Nice when things work out as they should!

    All the best,

For Arri, you just need to create an account – a bit of a pain, but works.
