  Audio will not play in source record mode in timeline [all other modes playback fine, switches are on]

  The audio stopped playing back in my timeline.

  -It will play in the source monitor for any of the clips in the timeline.
  -Other timelines will play fine.
  -There is nothing on the audio monitors when hitting play in the timeline.
  -It plays back the selected clip [only] in the timeline when audio loop is activated.
  -It will playback a segment in trim mode
  -Yet it persists to not play nor get levels in source/record mode!
  -the audio tracks are switched on.
  -the wave form displays when turned on
  -the media is online.

  What the hell? help!

  Is the audio tool set to Direct Out (or one of the surround options) or Stereo ?

  Also click the little triangle at the top of the timeline, near the timecode…it will open additional audio controls, including the area you can set RTAS plugins for the track. Also there is a button where you can disable the track. This is different than the mute button, which is always visible.
