  Media offline – omf problem

  Hey guys

  I have already read everything you posted here and on other forums too about this problem and nothing seems to work. However I’m opening a project which has 26 sub-clips and I have 26 omf files on : C:UsersPublicDocumentsAvid Media ComposerAvid_MediaFilesOMFI MediaFiles

  So I’ve got my project in the avid folder project as normal, the omf on the OMFI MediaFiles, however when I’m link everything using LINK AMA the media is offline, but the sound is there. I already tried to relink it and nothing works. Any ideas? It’s really weird

  My avid media composer version is 6

  If they are native Avid OMFI MediaFiles, you do not link to them via AMA. You need to ensure that the folder “OMFI MediaFiles” is at the root level of the hard drive (in your example, the C drive).

  Once that is done, open the project and the bin with the subclips in it and they should automatically link to the media.
