  • Getting MC 6 to “see” the Intensity Pro card

I’m new to Avid and have a trial version of MC 6. I can’t get it to “see” my Intensity Pro card. The icon at the bottom of the timeline is grayed out, which seems to indicate that Avid is in “software-only” mode and doesn’t output to the client monitor. The card works perfectly with Final Cut Pro.

Did you go to Blackmagic’s website and download the appropriate Avid drivers/plugins for that card?

Yeah…while my AJA card requires only one installed driver for FCP, for it to be seen by Avid, I need to install the AJA Avid IO driver as well. You might need an additional driver.

This solved the problem. Many thanks. (The Intensity web site was down for some time today, but the new driver on the right volume worked.)
