Taking a MC6 project offline for editing on the road?
In MC6, is there good workflow for taking a whole project (9 TB of DnxHD175x) offline so it can be edited on a laptop making sure of course that it is easily re-linkable to the original HD files when I’m back in the studio?
I would love to keep all the sequences, bins, etc. intact in the process. Basically identical project but low res clips instead.

Yes select all the media bins and consolidate/transcode to your portable drive (probably in dnxhd36). Move project and bins to portable system. Open with media attached. You will probably need to delink, but once it finds all of the new proxy media all should be back to life. Edit away. The take the project back to your online session and delink again to original media.

Should I not edit off new created .new proxies (in the bins not the drive) but rather relink the original clips in the bins to the new proxies on the drive to insure a smooth on lining when I get back?

Looks like I have to select the individual files to consolidate/transcode can;t select the bins?

Yes. I meant the media in the bins.

You should edit off the original clips but use the new media. You should relink on your portable station where the old media is offline. When you move that back to your online station the proxy media will not be available and you’ll instead use the online media within that project.

Also, unless I choose to convert the audio, it ignores audio. Anyway to keep the audio intact without having to reencode it?

The audio should be going with it. Have you set it to seperate audio / video destinations?

Both audio & video should be tied together and moving to the same destination drive in consolidate.

But consolidate doesn’t give me the option to make proxies, only transcode does and when I choose transcode if I don’t check one of the convert audio check boxes, no audio moves over to the new drive.
I did check Video and audio on same drive(s)
