  • Using automatic Duck – Avid to FCP Project – Linked via AMA – P2 Media

    Hi,

We’ve been tasked with making a complete Avid sequence into a FCP Sequence. We’ve got Automatic Duck – but wanted to know where the best place to start is.

    It’s a 720. 23.976 project – all media is P2 – linked via AMA.

I can not export an OMF, so have been exporting an AAF. When I’ve opened this file in FCP – only part of the sequence is coming online.

So, I’m asking where one should start with doing this? And does anyone have any tips/ suggestions on how to do this in a streamlined manner?

    Many thanks in advance.

ive only done basic stuff with AD but im guessing youd want to transcode all those p2 media, to a native Avid format, then trying to do the transfer with AD. Not sure that AD is supposed to be supported with AMA material.

My first thought on this would also be to transcode the AMA footage before ducking.
