    Hello,
I have a problems with an Avid project that I did transcoding for:

The source footage was sony XDCAM cards that were transcoded to MXF as DNXHD 120 through AVID MC 5.0.3
(I linkd the cards as AMA volumes, marked the clips and used the transcode option)
I transcoded the new clips to a new HD.

when the editor opens the project it works fine, but for some reason the dupe detection marks some clips as used with no reason (they are used only once on the TL).

The transcoding was done on a PC system with MC 5.0.3
and the editing is done on Mac Pro with same version of MC.

on the shooting day the camera had only 2 cards that were downloaded to HD every time the filled up and “recycled” again. (I dont think that that had something to do with the problem but how knows)

    Any ideas?

I know that there were reported dupe detection bug in MC5x.
I have had dupe markers appear on filler.

I think you can get odd things thrown up if certain source metadata is missing, but that tends to lead to dupe detection not working.

Here are some older posts from the avid website, seems to have been noted elsewhere

Thanks, I saw the dupe detection problems when using fillers, but in this case, there are no fillers on the TL.
