I have a producer who takes the proxy files from our XDcam and makes an avid bin with descriptions etc. I used to bring in the bin and capture the clips that he had created. Instead of realtime play and capture I now want to do this by importing the clips from the XD as a file transfer instead and link them to the clips he created in an independant bin. I have looked all over and can’t figure out how to do this without capturing. Everytime I select his bins and look to relink media to the xdcam it says there is no media to link. Is it because he went from proxy’s?

Relink works on tape and TC.
Can’t you just batch import your proxies (with your added comments) as high res?

you would have thought so but in my case the producer is logging in a media player and typing into a blank project he made in avid. I tried modifying the reel numbers and batch importing but it isn’t working…
